We are in the middle of upgrading our equipment and getting some new tools and toys. “Start small, think big” has been part of our philosophy from the start. We have literally built NCMC from the ground up. We are growing as fast as it is possible to grow 🌿
This month we got to participate in Downtown Grass Valley’s “Wine Walk” event. We enjoyed serving up some Pomegranate and Blackcurrant Cider.
Sometimes folks say “I don’t drink cider” – but when they get a chance to try our delicious cider, they often say “this is so good, I would totally drink this!”

People often bring us bee-related gifts. One couple recently brought in a bee Christmas ornament. It’s amazing to feel the love and appreciation we all share for these incredible pollinators. They play such an important role in natural ecosystems and agriculture 🐝
One of the things we love about mead is that the flavor profiles are endless. We have fun in the tasting room combining different meads and ciders to create unique and delightful treats. It’s a beautiful, buzz-filled form of art 🎨
A favorite thing someone said to us recently is that they had our cider at a local tap house once… and they still think about that experience because it was the best cider they have ever had. It means a lot to make such an impression.
We can still feel the summer heat at the meadery, even though it’s a pretty cool spot to hang out 🎯🍻🐶
